#2 Gym Induction and Goal setting

Joining a gym for the first time can be intimidating and overwhelming but it doesn’t need to be. At Acresfield all of our members who wish to use the gym go through an induction process. One of our fitness instructors will show you around the gym and explain how to operate all of our equipment correctly. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions of your own. If you forget anything from the induction don’t worry, our fitness team are always on hand to help.

Now that you’ve joined a gym and had your gym induction it’s time to think about setting some goals. Giving yourself targets will help you stay motivated and consistent in your fitness journey.

#3 Get a Programme

Once you’ve had your gym induction, gained some experience in the gym and decided on some goals. We recommend booking in for a programme. Here you will have the opportunity to sit down with one of our instructors and discuss your goals so we can devise a programme based around your needs. Our instructor will take you into the gym and go through movements included on your programme to ensure you understand and are able to perform the exercise correctly. To help keep you motivated we normally set programmes between 4-8 weeks. After you’ve completed your programme you can book in for a new one.
