How we are keeping you safe

Safety first if you or someone in your household has experienced Covid 19 symptoms 24 hours prior to your visit please do not attend your appointment. We shall be happy to rearrange this for you.

Temperature checks are taken as a precaution. This will be done contactlessly as you are welcomed to the Reception.

Contact & Trace QR codes are located at the Club entrance, at Reception and the Gym door. With each visit to Acresfield you need to scan a QR code using the NHS Covid-19 app. This then logs your visit with the NHS.

Hand sanitiser is located at the entrance to the building to use when entering and leaving the building. We encourage you to use this.

Signage relating to social distancing is displayed throughout the Club. Please follow these and any directions from our team.

Please wait in our designated waiting area in the Foyer. Your stylist/therapist will come to collect you. Clients are asked not to enter the Hair Studio or Spa until welcomed in. Please attend your appointment alone unless you require assistance.

Clean surfaces are important and regularly maintained as part of our expanded cleaning rota.

Additional sanitation training has been undertaken by our team. Furthermore, extra time has been allocated between appointments as part of our upgraded cleaning regime.

Face masks/covering must be worn at all times within the Club and only removed during activities. Disposable masks can be requested at a small charge. If required this will be added to the cost of your treatment/s.

PPE will be worn by our team.

Ventilation throughout the Club is kept as well as possible.

Essential items should be brought with you only. Please avoid bringing coats, bags and mobile phones where possible.

Contactless payments by credit or debit card are accepted only. For safety and efficiency we ask for card payments and not cash.

Refreshments are not provided at this time. Please bring your own refreshments with you.

Patch/skin tests need to be up to date. Therefore, you may be asked to complete one before your next visit to the Hair Studio or Spa.

What to Expect

To help you plan your visit we have provided full details of the Covid-19 protocols in each Club area below.

The management of our facilities is strictly guided by the latest Government guidelines and we shall inform you of any changes we make as soon as possible following best practices.

The safety of our members and team is of paramount importance. We have created our fitness protocol with reference to guidance from UK Active.

December 2020 update: Unfortunately we will not be able to offer group fitness classes in keeping with the latest Government guidance.

Your Fitness Journey:

1. All 1 hour Gym sessions and activities to be held within The Arena must be pre-booked, preferably online. Bookings can also be made by telephoning the Club Reception.
2. Members should arrive changed ready to exercise to avoid using the changing rooms.
3. Towels/sweat towels can be brought into the Gym or into The Arena but please keep in a plastic bag with you when not being used.
4. The Gym: Floor markings indicate which apparatus can be used in order to maintain social distancing. The use of the cardio machines including the treadmill which is the most popular machine has been limited to 20 minutes to ensure availability to as many as possible. Further, additional signage has been placed by the free weights area to remind everyone about the social distancing criteria.
5. The Arena has been lined out into 2m squares and this means that class sizes will remain unchanged.
6. During classes and Gym sessions the air conditioning system will be used to ventilate the area.
7. Personal training will resume but social distancing will apply.
8. Those who are high risk, shielding or who are pregnant should always follow the medical guidance given to them.
9. Members should clean all touch points on each piece of equipment after use using the sanitiser provided. The regularity of our cleaning regime has also been increased.
10. Sensor operated hand sanitiser stations have been positioned inside The Gym and inside of The Arena for members to regularly use.
11. The water dispenser in the Gym will temporarily not be available in order to prevent any possible spread of the virus.  Keeping hydrated is really important. Members should bring their own drinks with them.
12. Members are asked where possible to bring their own exercise mats with them when they are required in The Arena.

We know that our members are very responsible and we feel confident that everyone will do their best to comply with these new rules.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK YOUR SESSION TO GUARANTEE ENTRY.

A visual guide to how the Gym operates

The pool is disinfected with chlorine as the primary disinfectant and UV Light as the secondary disinfection method. As it is operated in line with guidance from Swim England and PWTAG we are advised that Covid-19 will not be transmissible through the swimming pool water.

Your Aquatics Journey:

1. The swimming pool is currently the only aquatics facility to be opened. In the meantime we will follow strict Government guidance.
2. The numbers using the pool will be limited in order to maintain social distancing.
3. Pool sessions must be pre booked online or at Reception. Sessions are 60 minutes (45 minutes swimming time and 15 minutes for changing).
4. Please arrive ready changed (costume under clothing) to reduce time in the changing rooms. After your session you will be free to shower and to use any of the designated changing rooms.
5. The pool will be split into two wide lanes offering clockwise swimming. Within each lane there must be no more than 6 swimmers at any one time.
6. A traffic light system will be in operation. The pool lights will appear green during the session and will change to red when the session has ended.
7. Special designated family sessions will also be included for less formal swimming.
8. Please enter the pool by the steps by the steam room and exit by the steps at the far end of the pool.  This may involve crossing one lane to reach your designated lane please move across the swimming pool as quickly as possible to avoid other swimmers.
9. It is important to remember that social distancing must be maintained both inside and outside of the pool except for people within your household.
10. Those who are high risk, shielding or who are pregnant should always follow the medical guidance given to them.
11. Parents are asked to monitor their children to ensure that they do not inadvertently break the 2m distancing rule.
12. The water fountain by the swimming pool will not be available.  It is important to stay hydrated and so we ask swimmers to bring their own water.
13. The regularity of our cleaning regime has been increased.
14. Please ensure that you use the hand sanitiser station at the entrance when you arrive and when you leave the building.

As soon as practicable we will ease these restrictions in keeping with Government guidance and will inform all of our members by email.
