Covid-19 Safety Measures

Yes, Acresfield is open with the latest Government guidance in place. The Bistro will remain unavailable until further notice.

We are extremely committed to keeping everyone safe. We have these Covid-19 Protocols in place for the health, safety and peace of mind of our staff, members, clients and visitors.

The current Health and Safety Protocols have been carefully considered and put in place in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is our aim to keep everyone as safe as possible while providing somewhere for you to relax, keep fit and feel good. We are strictly following Government guidance and will reassess the conditions of our services regularly with the aim of getting you back to enjoying the Club, as usual, as soon as possible, when it is safe to do so.

Yes. The pool is disinfected with chlorine and UV Light. Further more, Swim England and PWTAG state that Covid-19 is not transmissible through swimming pool water.

Face masks must be worn inside the Club at all times except during activities. Face masks are not required inside the Gym but social distancing rules must be kept. Please bring your own drink with you and use the hand sanitiser provided regularly.

Club Members can access exclusive video classes created by our Fitness Team via our Member’s Lounge.

Due to the current protocols that we have in place in light of the ongoing pandemic we are unable to offer Spa Days. We hope to be able to do so as soon as possible.

General Information

All guests and Members are required to book ahead before visiting Acresfield Health Club & Spa.

For all bookings please call us on 01995 604975 ext 1. Members can book Classes, Gym and Swimming Pool sessions online.

Please note, you need to pre-book a one hour session to use the Gym and Pool.

Due to the current pandemic we are experiencing a high demand for our services. Sessions and appointments are more spaced out due to our escalated cleaning regime. We apologies for any inconvenience this brings.

Should you need to cancel your visit, please do so as soon as you are able to so that we may offer it to someone else. Last minute bookings are sometimes possible and we provide regular details of availability in our email newsletter and on our Facebook page.

For the safety of Club users we are limiting access to the Changing Room and Shower facilities to people using the Swimming Pool.

Towels are provided for Spa guests only. Gym users and swimmers are asked to bring their own towels.

Full access to our facilities is available exclusively to Club Members. However, we welcome everyone to enjoy our Spa, Hair Studio and Bistro. Classes are also bookable 24 hours in advance to members of the public subject to availability.

Guest passes are available for Members to purchase at Reception. Guests must be accompanied at the Club by a Club Member. Members will now need to ring up to book their guest in, register as a client and then book a swim or gym session at the same time as their guests. Please arrive and pay for your guest. Please note, cash payments are not accepted at present.

NHS and emergency services staff qualify for a Membership discount. This is approximately 20% off our standard rate.

At the Hair Studio people age 60 and over receive 20% off all bookings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Club Members receive 10% off treatments at the Hair Studio and Spa.

Yes, we are currently accepting new Memberships. You can sign up online here.

There has been no increase in Membership prices this year. Prices will remain the same. The protocols which are currently in place have been made for the safety of everyone so that your visit can continue with peace of mind.

It’s our intention that the booking service for the Gym and Pool will mean that sessions are only limited for a short period of time and availability will become more frequent.

We are following Government guidance and the booking system we have will be seen similarly across the industry to ensure a safer environment for everyone. The reviewal of this and our entire Health and Safety Protocol is done frequently.

If you are a Club Member you are invited to access the Member’s Lounge to view exclusive online videos and training programs. You should have received a password for this area but please email us at should you require it.


Yes, all of our Aquatics facilities are open to Club Members. Please pre-book your session. Use of the Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi are inclusive of your one hour session. Social distancing rules apply.

Swimming lessons at Acresfield are organised by Swim Active. Classes are open to all ages with up to six participants at a time. For information and bookings please email Ian Kirk on

Of course! We welcome children and babies to use the Swimming Pool when accompanied by an adult (Club Member). Due to our updated Health and Safety Protocol and new booking system we ask that all children and babies are registered as a client in order to book them in. All visits to the Pool must be pre-booked and during our ‘family session’ hours.


Yes. PT sessions are available at £35 per hour.

Arena / Fitness Classes

We have over 20 different classes for all abilities and interests. To find out more click here.

Please arrive in your workout clothing ready for your class. At present you are kindly asked to bring your own drink with you and your own exercise mat, if needed.


Towels and robes are provided when necessary.

Gift Vouchers

Acresfield Gift Vouchers are available to purchase from reception or online.

Gift vouchers have 6 months validity.
